Beverly Hills’ legendary shopping district, Rodeo Drive, is about to get a dose of our favorite icon. On September 10, Diana Vreeland will be inducted into the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style, joining such previous honorees as Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco, Valentino, Manolo Blahnik and Iman. “It’s so exciting for us that Diana Vreeland’s creative brilliance will forever be recognized here on Rodeo Drive with this honor,” enthused Peri Ellen Berne, Chairman of the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style. “She was the oracle of fashion for much of the 20th century and her innovative imagination revolutionized the fashion world.”

A bronze plaque featuring Mrs. Vreeland’s signature and a famous quote permanently embedded into the sidewalk of the famous street will be unveiled by Mrs. Vreeland’s son Tim Vreeland and Lisa Immordino Vreeland, producer and director of DIANA VREELAND: THE EYE HAS TO TRAVEL, as well as a surprise guest. The 19th recipient of the award, Mrs. Vreeland is being welcomed with open arms by the mayor of Beverly Hills. “The City of Beverly Hills is proud to honor Diana Vreeland with the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style award,” says Mayor William W. Brien. “Diana Vreeland was one of the most influential women of the 20th century who changed the face of fashion as we know it.”

DIANA VREELAND: THE EYE HAS TO TRAVEL will have its theatrical release in Los Angeles and New York on September 21.
